Students entering the 10th grade have the opportunity to take Firefighting 1.  This is a 3-year program that gives students the opportunity to earn their Firefighting 1 certificate.  Earning this certification will put students on the fast track to becoming Firefighters. 

 

 

- Basic concepts of firefighting.

- Fire Department organization and operations.

- The concepts and principles related to fire behavior.

- Firefighting skills: fire extinguishers, ropes and knots, water supply, hoses and appliances, hazardous materials training.  

 

Our Fire Trucks -  The fire trucks are used by our students to help them get hands-on experience and gain skills associated with fire fighting.
