 Four Year Educational Plan and Graduation Requirements for Criminal Justice Academy Students

Program Graduation Requirements

  • 4 Credits of English
  • 4 Credits of Math (1 must be Algebra 1, 1 must be Geometry)
  • 3 Credits of Science (1 must be Biology)
  • 3 Credits of Social Studies (World History Honors/AP, US History Honors/AP, Econ/Govt Honors, AP, or Dual Enrollment)
  • 1 Fine Arts Credit
  • 1 HOPE Credit (or sports participant for 2 seasons, or Coast Guard JROTC for two years. See Mrs. Gilbert for the form)
  • 1 Online Course (passing Microsoft Office Bundle gives online course credit)
  • 8 Electives
  • Unweighted 2.0 GPA
  • Passing Score on Grade 10 English FAST test and Passing Score on Algebra 1 EOC or SAT/ACT Concordant Score
  • 4 Credits in Criminal Justice Operations (CJO 1-3, Public Service Officer)
  • 100 Bright Futures Hours Community Service (completed by December of senior year)
  • 5th Credit in Criminal Justice (Comprehensive Law, African-American History, AP Seminar, AP Microeconomics, International Relations*, The College Experience*, Intro to Forensics*, Intro to Crime Scene Investigation*) *signifies Dual Enrollment Course. SPC ID and specific GPA Required
  • Accelerated Performance Credit (Industry Certification, Dual Enrollment credit, or passing and AP or Cambridge exam)
